Kalash is a family learning app for exploring Hindu stories, deities, mantras, traditions and values. If something isn't working, or you have a question or a suggestion, we'd like to hear from you.

When you write to us about a technical issue, it helps to include:
Please don't send passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information in a support email. We never need them — Kalash has no account and nothing to buy.

Ask Rishi is an educational guide within Kalash, intended for learning, reflection and family conversation. Its answers come from content stored in the app.
Ask Rishi is not an emergency, medical, legal or mental-health service. When a child needs personal help or support, they should speak to a parent, guardian, teacher or another trusted adult.
Kalash may create a Parent Alert when something in a child's activity suggests a supportive conversation with a grown-up could help. Parent Alerts are kept behind a PIN that you choose on your device.
The PIN protects the Parent Alerts area only. Stories, mantras, quizzes, Ask Rishi and everything else in Kalash work normally without it.
If you forget your Parent PIN
Kalash does not have a PIN recovery or reset option, and we cannot retrieve your PIN — it is stored only on your device and is never sent to us.
The rest of Kalash continues to work as normal, so forgetting the PIN does not lock your child out of the app.
If you need access to Parent Alerts again, clearing Kalash's data or deleting and reinstalling the app would be expected to remove the stored PIN. Please note that this would also remove other information saved on your device — your child's name and avatar, learning and story progress, Wisdom Feathers and achievements, existing Parent Alerts, Daily Dharma progress, and favourite mantras. Exactly what is removed depends on your device and on your backup settings, so this is worth weighing before you do it.
Hindu traditions are diverse, and explanations, translations, transliterations and practices vary between communities, teachers, regions and lineages. If you think something in Kalash is inaccurate, or that an important variation has been left out, please tell us. Include the screen or story where you saw it, and what you believe it should say. We read every message of this kind.
Kalash stores your family's information on your own device. We don't collect it, and there is no account to create.
