Kalash

Terms of Use

Effective: September 1, 2026
Applies to: Kalash for iOS

About these Terms

These Terms cover your use of the Kalash app and its content.

Your licence to use Kalash is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which you accept when you download the app from the App Store. These Terms sit alongside it and deal with the things specific to Kalash — the nature of its content, how you may use it, and what we do and don't promise. Where these Terms and the Standard EULA differ on licensing matters, the Standard EULA governs.

Kalash is published by the developer identified as the seller on the app's App Store listing ("we", "our", "us").

Who may use Kalash

Kalash is a family learning app that may be used by families, including younger users. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these Terms and accept them on your behalf, and should supervise your use of the app.

Kalash can be used in guest mode. Optional parent account features may be available for account access, password recovery, profile management and account deletion.

The nature of the content

Kalash provides educational and cultural material about Hindu stories, traditions, mantras, deities, values and teachings.

Hindu traditions are diverse. Interpretations, practices, pronunciations, translations, transliterations and observances vary between communities, teachers, families, regions and lineages. Kalash presents material that is widely shared and does not represent that any particular explanation is the only accepted one, or that any tradition's version is authoritative over another's. Where we learn that something is inaccurate or incomplete, we correct it in a later version.

Kalash makes no claim that any mantra, practice or teaching produces any particular physical, medical, psychological or material outcome.

Not professional advice

Content in Kalash, including anything provided through Ask Rishi, is for educational and informational purposes. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a parent, guardian, teacher, doctor, counsellor or other qualified professional.

Ask Rishi is not an emergency service. If a child needs personal help or support, they should speak to a trusted adult.

How you may use Kalash

You may use Kalash for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.

You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected with it, or reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit its content except as permitted by law.

Intellectual property

Kalash, including its design, organisation, text, illustrations, audio and other materials, is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party materials, where included, remain subject to the rights of their owners and to any applicable licences.

Some source material presented in Kalash — including scriptural texts and traditional verses — is in the public domain or is part of a shared cultural inheritance. Nothing in these Terms is intended to claim ownership of such material itself.

If you believe anything in Kalash infringes your rights, please write to us at bhaktisangeet.info@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the material and your claim, and we will look into it.

Links to other services

Kalash may contain links that open third-party services or websites, such as YouTube, at your request. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, privacy practices or terms. Parents may wish to supervise the use of these links.

Privacy

How Kalash handles information is described in the Kalash Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

Premium subscriptions

Kalash may offer optional paid Kalash Premium access through auto-renewable subscriptions, including monthly and annual plans. Premium provides access to designated Premium content and features while the subscription is active. Kalash does not promise that any particular item of content, catalogue size or feature will remain available permanently, and quizzes are not a Premium-only feature in this version.

Kalash Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Subscription prices and billing terms are presented by Apple at the time of purchase. Apple processes payment and manages billing, and Kalash does not directly process or store payment-card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple's subscription rules and settings. You are responsible for managing or cancelling an active subscription through your Apple account or Apple subscription settings if you do not want it to renew.

Eligible purchases may be restored through Apple's StoreKit Restore Purchases functionality. Premium access is tied to the applicable Apple purchase or entitlement, and does not require a Kalash parent account to own the Apple purchase.

Deleting a Kalash parent account does not cancel an Apple subscription, remove Apple's purchase record or stop future renewals. If you delete a Kalash parent account and no longer want an active subscription to renew, you must separately manage or cancel that subscription through Apple.

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled under Apple's applicable policies and processes. Kalash does not provide a separate in-app refund mechanism for App Store subscription purchases.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features and content as Kalash develops, and we do not guarantee that any particular feature or item of content will remain available. We may also stop offering the app.

Disclaimer

Kalash is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by applicable law. While we aim to provide accurate, well-made educational content, we do not warrant that it is free from error, complete, or suitable for every family's particular tradition or needs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Kalash.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights you may have as a consumer.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Kalash develops. The effective date above indicates when they were last revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

Governing law

Kalash is currently offered in the United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Nothing in this section removes any protection you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply where you live.
